Our prints are made by hand, so they're never perfect. That's what we like about them.
We love block printing, the texture it leaves, the small variations no machine could copy. We want patterns that feel modern, printed the old way but with room for things to shift and change from piece to piece.
We're drawn to the joy of the collected. Fabric that gets mixed in, lived with, and ages gracefully.

We're Lauren and Jemma, two friends with a shared love of colour, pattern and getting the details right.
Amble & Block started at the kitchen table. Now we hand block print linen cushions, entirely in Sussex, and every step happens by our hands.
We mix our own dyes. We cut, print and bind every cushion ourselves. Seaweed-based printing paste, non-toxic dyes, duck down inserts, cotton labels: every part is chosen to feel as good as it looks.
We don't mass produce. We work in small batches, and no two come out quite the same. We love making them, and we're proud of every one.
For now, it's all about the cushions. We have plenty of ideas for what comes next.
